As your External Transport Manager we will oversee and offer the following procedures and components:
- Initial audit
- Make arrangements to ensure that drivers comply with drivers hours and tachograph rules and with speed limits through tachograph analysis, ongoing training and discussions
- Make arrangements to ensure that the vehicles are maintained properly, including the inspection of vehicles at the appropriate time and the action taken to remedy defects found
- Employ methods ensuring accurate vehicle inspections and defect reporting
- Employing methods for the compilation and the accuracy of records
- Make of arrangements to ensure that the vehicle/s are not overloaded
- Ensuring that authorised vehicles will be kept at the authorised operating centre(s) when not in use
- Where appropriate, notifying the relevant traffic commissioner (in writing) of all prosecutions and convictions concerning the operator, the drivers and all persons connected to the operators licence within 28 days of the court hearing
- Verifying contracts and documents
- Telephone advice service for company and drivers - on going
- Open lines of communication
- 1 site visit per month
An in house admin assistant will be necessary to work on day to day duties including:
- Collection of tachograph and VU data and forwarding to a relevant company for analysis
- Managing documentation ensuring records are kept in order
- Booking of vehicles for maintenance according to the maintenance planner
- Any other administrative duties which may arise
